H Is for Happiness

H is for Happiness is a feel-good-film that deals with pride, loss, depression & a child's precocious optimism to fix it all. The film is entertaining though conceited in its outlook; finding your own happiness is a lot easier with an emotionally-needy rich uncle. The bright colours juxtaposed against the pit of traumatic issues is visually well-crafted. Axon & Patten are great, as is Margolyes. The ending provides a WTF moment that you'll either enjoy or will solidify your disdain for the film.

A little too twee for darker folks like me, but it's like Wes Anderson but with far less technical creativity and genuine character depth.
