Something in Okinawa reeks, and it isn't long before Kaori and her friends realize that the smell is coming from dead fish, which are walking out of the sea. The fish are fused to metal legs and are infected with a disease contractable by humans that was invented as a weapon by unknown sources. After what happens to Tadashi, Kaori finds herself in a new world very much like the old one but with the stench of death. (AniDB)

Ugly character designs and poor quality animation serve to further hamper this straight to video adaptation of the horror manga of the same name. The manga is grotesque, tense and gory as hell, the animation on the other hand is dumbed down, poorly handled, altered and all together disappointing. Don't bother wasting an hour watching this pick up the 3 volume manga instead.

Not even walking sharks save it.

Spinning farting fish people. With fartpipe buttplugs being forced into them and ghost fart tentacles and a circus of fart clowns that get attacked by a multibarreled shitcannon.

An awkward adaptation of a pretty good horror manga. This movie definitely gets points for some good animation. I think the 3D animation was used well, particularly in scenes involving thousands of walking fish. But there's really no reason to see this if you've read the manga. It answers even fewer questions, doesn't really expand on anything, has a similar open-ended ending, and made awkward decisions like keeping the godawful "circus" chapter in the movie. Another hour might have helped.

you might think you've seen everything, but Hirao takes it to the next level.
