Great Balls of Fire!

The story of Jerry Lee Lewis, arguably the greatest and certainly one of the wildest musicians of the 1950s. His arrogance, remarkable talent, and unconventional lifestyle often brought him into conflict with others in the industry, and even earned him the scorn and condemnation of the public. (imdb)

A true story played out as a comedy and ( Personally I think it's very funny) Dennis Quaid really does a convincing job playing Jerry Lee Lewis

Quaid gives a fine performance for the kind of thing this is. It just should have been a different thing. Like one taken from Tosches' book instead of Myra's. And honestly, starring a guy who could have done the singing himself. Although Quaid's quite adept at using his big, hard, throbbing piano to chase a gaggle of giggling schoolgirls into the corner, and Ryder phenomenal in conveying the simultaneous excitement and revulsion at what's expected of her after all the giggling gets done.

When I growed up I am going to marry my cousin just like Jerry Lee Lewis.

I dislike Dennis Quaid, but I enjoyed him as a pedophile.

This film can't make up its mind whether it wants to be slightly campy or serious. Dennis Quaid is way over the top in his performance and his lip-synching is terrible. If you want to see how to make a good Rock & Roll biopic, then watch The Buddy Holly Story instead.

Has its fair share of energy especially during the stage acts but there is not much else. An uninspired screenplay holds it back.

Good in that it's short, and moves fairly quickly.

Only worth watching to see Winona Ryder as an incestuous Lolita. Dennis Quaid is preposterously over the top with his performance and accent.

As biopics go, this is a very good one (although not as good as Ray). Quaid does a great job of capturing the legend of Jerry Lee Lewis and his times. Baldwin's Swaggart is also very well done.

You know, for a movie featuring Dennis Quaid as Jerry Lee Lewis, this isn't too bad. Of course, Dennis Quaid as Jerry Lee Lewis is a terrible idea.
