Insane. The first film is about the pains of growing up and the questions of what the future holds after high school. Grease 2 is "my penis wah" , every song probably had the original title "ITS ABOUT FUCKING" Cool Rider. Thank god most of these people will die in Vietnam.

This movie was missing three things: John Travolta, ewoks, and a decent script.

Rewatch. I'm not sure the producers knew what the hell they were doing in devising this as the follow-up to Grease, but I'll take it. This one is rougher around the edges, darker, and all around more uninhibited. Better musical numbers than the original help, but the movie often verges into pure camp which gives it a wonderful charm. An interesting backlash to how the 70s/80s perverted 50s nostalgia for their own brand of conservative demagoguery, and the foolishness of such.

Definitely of the so-bad-it's-almost good genre, this stands the test of time in a camp way, mainly because of the charm of Pfeiffer and Carrington.

A total loss, they even screwed up what merit the original had by modernizing the songs into some 50's/80's hybrid of total unlistenability. There is only one good thing about this movie and that is Michelle Pfeiffer in tights--but even that can't push this above a tier populated by the most horrendous movies I've ever seen.

Holy hell. Wow. This is, beyond any doubt, the worst sequel I've ever seen. Terrible music, awful script, dreadful acting. What an unnecessary film this is. It's probably the only musical I've seen that I thoroughly disliked. It has absolutely no redeeming features. It blatantly and terribly attempts to replicate everything in Grease. Even when all it tries to do is copy the basics of another film, it fails miserably. Leave this one alone, no matter what.

It's one of those. A movie that's so bad that you can't look away. Highlight: Cool Rider by Michelle Pfeiffer and the silly dance she does at the end of the number. Classic. Simply Classic.

It's terrible and stupid, but it's laughably terrible and stupid, so it gets more than a 0 that other terrible and stupid movies that didn't make me laugh earned.

Not as bad as I thought it would be, but nothing special. It probably would have been a hit if it had been released before the original.

I'm really not sure why this has the reputation that it does. It's a decent musical with some fun (if unmemorable) songs, solid performances all-around, and a lot of 60's-meets-80's charm. The story isn't that hot, especially the messy third act, & the characters are pretty meh, but as a whole it's fairly enjoyable for what it is. There's some surprisingly clever moments, too, & a good few subtle one-liners that got a laugh out of me. Not nearly enough Frenchy, though, which is a bummer.

Totally a nostalgia rating. This movie was on ONTV (remember that?) repeatedly during the summer of 1983. I watched it constantly and knew the words to all of the songs. No, it is not a good movie, but I liked it when I was 9, and that has to count for something.

Disappointing, this is the word for this movie. The first, independent of be good or bad, was quite successful. But this is a complete failure.

Surprisingly enjoyable, if inconsequential, little movie that only really suffers from being in GREASE's shadow. The two leads are quite good together.

Not nearly as good as the original, but has some decent numbers of its own. It won't ever be a classic, but it's not a bad way to spend 2 hours.

Did we really need a 2nd round of this? As a story, the plot yawns. As a musical, the songs aren't memorable. The characters are cardboard. This tradegy could have been easily avoided! H*wood execs - shame on you!

Most of the hostility harbored by those that had seen the movie is rooted in the fact that it is an attempted follow up to the best musical in history. While of course it doesn't even come close to holding a candle to Grease, it still is an entertaining film that puts a fresh twist on Grease and I for one am glad that Grease was able to live on just a little through this film.
