This was a really weird, really bizarre and really short avant-garde fantasy film filled with strange visuals, lots of nudity and a great soundtrack.

Formally impressive enough not to be a complete waste, but my first impressions of Terayama are close to the Jodorowsky/Makavejev school of surreal nonsense that i'm not a huge fan of. I guess i can see how he fits into a continuum of Japanese weirdness (think Miike, Sono etc.) but it's not really my thing.
