Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer

A bunch of Christmas special tropes thrown carelessly into a big, self-contradictory pile. An annoying and badly-produced spinoff of an already annoying and badly-produced novelty song.

For some bizarre reason I watched this many times growing up, and revisiting it as an adult was definitely interesting because of that. It's bad, but I have a bit of a soft spot for it because of the nostalgia it provides. Certainly not a holiday classic, but definitely a unique movie for the season compared to what's out there.

The song annoys me to no end, and it's the best song in this whole musical. What does that tell you?

I don't care what anyone says, this is one of the better non-canon Christmas movies. It's so goddamn weird and kind of funny.

So-so Christmas special, not as morbid as the actual song, though
