One of the most poignant films of Ülkü Erakalın, the prolific "director of romance films." The opening credits run down from Türkan Şoray's eyes, who plays Leyla, a girl who works for a scoundrel named Turgut. She reluctantly accepts to work for him one last time to con Suat, a rich and famous pianist. As she mock seduces Suat, the two genuinely fall in love and get married. Turgut causes trouble for the lovers and Leyla's secret past turns things into a nightmare. (İKSV)
