Both hilarious and terrifying, a surreal story, which is very down to earth and hence you can feel every bit of pain, frustration and confusion the protagonist is experiencing. An instant favourite

Dry, absurdist, funny... so in other words, right up my ally. It feels sort of like a more surreal Kaurismaki film (or maybe Roy Andersson, except too wild and spontaneous for Anderson's over-calculated sensibility). Starts off very Kafka-esque, eventually veering farther into almost Pynchon-ian levels of ridiculousness. It feels like there might be some particular socio-political context that i'm missing which might add even more to the humor, but even as is it's pretty great.

quite queasy! i was thrown by its lurching stylistic shifts... it's successfully disconcerting and difficult to sit through. evocative of roy andersson's deadpan magic-tinged theatricality.

loved it. has its laugh out loud moments. if you don't read the plot beforehand, you'll enjoy it even more
