Good Grief

Quite enjoyable gloomy romcom that works independently of the sexual orientation of the viewer or the characters.

Despite an excellent cast, Levy's Good Grief falls into the pit of stereotypes & exclusivity that undermine the reasonably well-written themes of grief, friendship & love that he develops. The atmosphere dips into made-for-gay film territory rather than universal appeal. Paris feels more like the Emily-in-Paris playground than the actual bustling city. Every creative showcase made me think defunding art isn't a bad idea. Slow, mellow, occasionally amusing but misses the mark emotionally.
