Golden Ninja Warrior

Considering his trademark of stitching together pre existing films with ninja footage, the plots in Godfrey Ho's work are questionable in logic, but this doesn't make any sense. Richard Harris appears but never returns, and characters can turn into ninja and back again mid-fight. Here, his charming hack job is just lazy. He has a knack for choosing the sleaziest films to use though; this one has full frontal nudity, rape and even a woman being whipped, making it extremely scuzzy even for him.

Like some other people I prefer my ninja movie to be mostly harmless and goofy kid stuff. Here Ho managed to get his hands on a particularly seedy kung-fu movie to then splice in the usual ninja scenes. I can't even remember the music in this one.

Godfrey Ho's katana editing is on full display in this exploitation ninja Z-movie. Although the film features a lot of the fun fight choreography and "ninja" antics like "Ninja Terminator"(1985) it also has plenty of the hallmark exploitation filler, cheap and uncomfortable rape. Despite the kick-ass female ninjas, all the rape, in addition to the disjointed revenge "plot", over-powers and ruins any quirky ninja fun to really be had with this trash.
