Golden Eighties

Especial dia das mulheres filme #10: Chantal Akerman. As comédias de Akerman tem um potencial totalmente naïve e são completamente deliciosas. DVDRip MakingOff.

This really seemed like it should be one of my favorite things ever, i mean it's Akerman doing a stylized, postmodern musical comedy with a synth pop soundtrack (starring singer Lio no less!) I still think it's pretty great, but surprisingly if anything i actually wish Akerman had made it even more mannered and deadpan, which is not something i thought i'd ever say about her work, because sometimes it comes across a little cheesy and soap opera-ish.
