90 minutes of typical pseudo-intellectual, lore-heavy, mind-numbing Anime banter, only shortly interspersed by what (with goodwill) could be called action. How a sci-fi adaption of a franchise about grotesque giant monsters fighting each other could be so boring is beyond me.

Obnoxious chatter about god in a way I couldn't tell if the creators meant to spout lousy anti-religion or it was inept build up. Ghidorah as a transdimensional spacetime warping cosmic string is great, godzilla doesn't fight tho it all goes on in a human characters boring headtrip. This left field incoherent dummy philosophy is not what we came to godzilla for. The whole series is a massive disappointment. When they could do ANYTHING they stood godzilla still while ppl pontificate

Just let Godzilla destroy a few towns and stuff, and not this religious philosophical shit...

What an incredibly disappointing ending to an increasingly boring trilogy. I liked their attempt to change the whole concept, or at least I tried to, but I feel like it went too far and tried too hard to be a "smart" monster movie and ended up just being heavy-handed nonsense. It's unfortunate because the animation is pretty good but it wastes it on overly complex dialogue and story, and it becomes almost like a snoozefest.

I can respect that it approaches the series differently by using it more for as a mean for philosophical discussion about human nature. The choice f.e. to make Gidorah an interdimensional superbeing sure are inspired. But the philosophical discussion are more often sleep inducing than thought provoking. This third movie suffers least from bad characterization in this movie self. If the previous entries had laid down the character groundwork better this could even have been moving.

The non-thrilling conclusion to a pretty weak trilogy.

Why was this even made? The worst of the lame-ass trilogy.
