Paul McCartney plays himself in another exaggerated "Day In the Life." Included are fictional scenes of the star preparing to film two videos, rehearsing in a loft, playing for the BBC, and even dreaming up a rather horrific nightmare. A loosely developed plot about missing master tapes ties all these events together (imdb)

If you remove all the musical numbers from this it's probably only about 25-30 minutes long, essentially the plot is Sir Paul can't find his master tapes for his new album! So he basically does nothing about it and goes about his day. Ringo tries to bang a journalist.

The plot is a complete mess, especially the ending, but the music segments for Silly Love Songs and Eleanore Rigby is so strange that it makes the whole thing worth while. The rest of the soundtrack is stellar as well.

Paul, I love you to death, but this was freaking awful. Stop indulging yourself all the time, okay?
