Very aged and very ordinary with all the sins of an old movie herein. Unwatchable without resort to fast forward.

An awkward romance. Headmaster Herbert Marshall falls for little schoolgirl Simone Simon. Did not feel right at all. Ruth Chatterton as his fellow teacher was the real match. And when you have ridiculous psycho moral protectors snooping around there should be a lot more danger then that. To put it frankly, this script lacked a lot. A overly melodramatic story with caricatures for characters ruining the potential it had with a maniac like J. Edward Bromberg preaching like a mad man possessed.

Ordinary little melodrama. Simone Simon is charming, though.
