Girl from Avenue A

A rework of The Brat, last time done by John Ford back in 1931. One of his few stinkers, and a Pre-Code film, so they had to rewrite the script to fit a 14-year-old Jane Withers moving in with an older man. Let's say they don't get flirty like in Pre-Code one. Instead, it's a lively comedy that takes advantage of Withers awkward teen years. She was a blast in this! Making the stiff upper-class a bearable place to be. Might not be a particularly original scenario, but it's done well. Really fun!
