Ghosts of War

A real mess. I mean, I admire the audacity and spectacle of what they attempted in a lower budget movie, but this script needed some work.

With what starts off as a pretty bland, low budget war/horror movie, "Ghosts of War" was shaping up to be exactly the caliber of craptastic entertainment that I was in the mood for. Unfortunately, it goes down the poorly formulated "Twilight Zone" twist route that no one was asking for. Still, it's not a movie I actively hate, which is about all the good I have to say about it.

If they had not gone with the last bit, it would have been okay, but the ending fucks up the entire movie for me.

I forgot to rate this. Probably shows how mediocre it was. I thought it was an actually good idea, but the execution was poor. The ‘twist' ending was also pretty dumb and unnecessary.

Most of this is a somewhat lackluster horror film until it gets into the final act with its nice unexpected twisty turn that plugs a few of the earlier plot holes. The twist was welcomed, but a bit jarring. Barely worth watching.
