Ghosts Can't Do It

One of the highlights of my year of viewing and I mean that honestly. The entire production is mind boggling. It made me uncomfortable in a way that excited me and it excited me in ways that made me uncomfortable. I think it taught me how to love again. Would double feature with 2019's Serenity terrifically. There is 0% chance I don't play this for a group of unwitting people at some point. As a criticker aside, I don't know who Dennis Brian was but this site lost a titan.

Ghosts Can't Do It (1989) was marketed as a sexy comedy, rich old man, Scott (Anthony Quinn) with a much younger wife, Katie (Bo Derek) dies then looks for a young body to inhabit so he can ravish Katie again. Bo Derek is naked in Ghosts so the film is sexy. There are, however, too many dour issues for the film to work as comedy. In the first scene of the film (following title cards that represent the typical John Derek machismo images: stills of horse riding, snowy mountainous region

Remember very little from this flick except that Derek is naked again, and it had a silly story. Funny seeing tRUMP in the credits, seen so long ago i would have had no idea who he was.

I watched this on an awful picture/sound quality youtube video where half the image is cropped out solely for an upcoming We Hate Movies episode, better be worth it

And Bo can't act, but that's another story. Even appearances by Newmar as a guardian angel and Donald Trump as himself do little to relieve the tedium of this lame fantasy-comedy-sex film.
