Ghost In The Shell: The New Movie

Haven't seen any of the earlier installments in the Ghost In The Shell and The New Movie didn't help me understand much either. As for general enjoyment, this piece of Japanese animation sparkled in brief periods, but otherwise the pacing didn't work for me. Never generated much interest in the going-ons and it became more a style orgy then a compelling story.

Watched it by accident thinking it was the original. I was absolutely puzzled about the hype.

The animation is by far the best part of this. The story is a bit lackluster and the whole thing started to feel very repetitive. This was one of the weaker entries in the series.
