Ghost

Colour filters, flickering lights and an eerie soundtrack. They do a lot for the mood, but there's nothing else here.

Some creepy as all hell imagery laced throughout, such as the projected eyeballs/mouths & shadowy faceless figures, make this one super eerie & also quite visually impressive for its time. That said, there's really no story to speak of- the whole thing is just an abstract experiment & was literally a test by Ito to figure out the very projected imagery trick shown throughout. It's decent enough & does have a surprising amount of atmosphere, but I don't know how long it'll stick with me.

Felt like a eerie and creepy opening credit to an old horror anthology show.

Painstakingly done, and to some extent gets across the strangeness that comes of long hours of being awake at night, but seems more of an unsuccessful mishmash than other works I've seen by this filmmaker.
