The earliest Marion Davies vehicle extant in entirety; quick and lightweight. She's appealing; stodgy step-relations provide the sole obstacle of a standard romantic comedy arc that sails along in record time. I wish her step-father had stuck around longer; he was played by one Elmer Grandin, a prolific old theater actor who barely did any films, and he was at least funnier than the other support. Smooth program fluff, but I feel like Pickford would've gotten cuter moments out of it.Dog, though!

Getting Mary Married (1919) is one of Marion Davies' earlier efforts. A mildly cute romance with Norman Kerry tangled in inheritance dilemmas. Never out-right funny, but the chemistry is there and it's alright for a throw-away popcorn flick.
