Germanin - Die Geschichte einer kolonialen Tat

A German colonial story for Nazi propaganda purposes. The core story of scientist trying to find cures for illnesses, is decent. There is a lot of torment under difficult surroundings which gives the story some edge. But adding all the other elements, the film is unlikable on so many levels, even if Trenker tries his best to bring some charm to it all. At the same time it makes it a intriguing watch, as even the German's struggle to make themselves the good guys in their own propaganda.
