At the behest of marriage broker Chandy (Jagathi), Georgootty's (Jayaram) father (Babu Nampoothiri) gets him married to wealthy Cheerankandath Ittichan's (Thilakan) daughter Alice (Sunitha) by lying about their family's financial position. After learning the truth, an angry Ittichan forces Georgootty to live at his house like a manservant.
