Only the silent version has survived, but you still get that royal John Barrymore delivery! Armida brings the vibrancy. And with Lowell Sherman and Marian Nixon for everything in between, you have a solid costume drama with a little action thrown in. One of the rarer Barrymore films, but probable not one of his greatest. I prefer him a little madder, but it's one of his more elegant ones.
