Garlic Is As Good As Ten Mothers

This is more a documentary about people who seem to have an unhealthy obsession with garlic than it is about garlic itself. In that sense it's a light and enjoyable piece that moves along at a decent pace, but it' not particularly memorable or informative.

lots of live footage of world musicians, and watching people cook garlicky bbq, fish, and sauces over music. not bad, just not informative, and definitely not 'a doc on the history of garlic' like the summary says.

Les Blank is one of the most quintessentially American filmmakers who ever lived. Food, music, culture are lovingly portrayed in all of his films. His movies are always deep explorations of simple pleasures.

I appreciate that Blank just made films about stuff that he likes.

I don't know what I expected.
