Garibaldi

Made for the celebration of the centennial of Garibaldi's and his "the Thousand' campaign to unify Italy, it results in an uncritical depiction, and often outright hero worships, with Garibaldi being saintlike. R gives the movie a documentarian like feel, especially in the well directed the large scaled battles filmed from atop. But unfortunately fails to give insight into the motives of the man or larger causes behind these historic events.
