Michael Hui and his brother Sam play two fellows who meet in jail. Michael is a real conman and Sam has aspirations to be one. When they get out of prison they decide to team up and hopefully make a lot of money. While discussing their plans, Sam says, "how can we fail?" First film directed by Michael Hui that instantly became classic and formed the style of Hong Kong comedies even to this day. A movie to see on early Sunday morning, to charge with some good emotions without thinking too much about what you see.

(Rewatch: didn't like it as much as The Private Eyes. catchy tune as usual.) I kept thinking their luck would turn around but it really didn't. Still, funny set pieces around town. Neat to see Hong Kong during this time period. Fav scene: pushing the girl back and forth between hotel rooms.
