Young Johnny Davis (Gene Reynolds) is beside himself when his gambler father (Ian Hunter) is arrested for murder. MGM giving a varied selection of their juvenile actors a chance to work together for a entertaining investigation. The likes of Jackie Cooper, Bonita Granville, a Dead End kid and a few others doing their best. Not going to call it a brilliant movie, for it isn't. What this is is a entertainer with enough personality, laughs and twists to last the duration. One that'll keep a smile on your mouth.
