Fry is lonely and wants to get away from life as he knows it. He goes to enter a rip in the universe and before entering says, "And so, to everyone and everything I've ever known, I say my last goodbye." By some fluke, Kif shows up and asks him how he's doing. His immediate response is, "Pretty good. You?" I take immense pleasure in repeating this hilariously and hopelessly depressing line EVERY SINGLE DAY OF MY LIFE.

I wasn't feeling this one as much. The main plot is just kind of weird and I didn't like the payoff. But it still has lots of great gags and most importantly it still gives me that nice fuzzy feeling I always get from watching Futurama.

While it's nice to see ANY Futurama, something is just wrong with the formula. It's still better than just about any animated show on TV right now, but it's lightyears from the quality found in episodes like "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" or "The Sting".

Not as good a "Big Score" in my opinion. Just doesn't come across as being as well written, and consequently just not as funny. On top of that "Big Score" plays with some great sci-fi concepts in a really entertaining way, which this movie generally skirts around. That said you'd have to be on a real downer not to get any enjoyment from this movie. It's still Futurama, so still fun.

The celebrity voices were quite unnecessary - Futurama already has a stellar vocal cast. Also, I couldn't help feeling grossed out by it. It's basically just tentacle porn, but sanctioned by Matt Groening. Still, it's Futurama, and I loves me some Futurama.

A little better than the first movie, but the pacing for these will never work well enough for any of the movies to be great as long as they are always making sure it can be split into episodes.

Some funny jokes early on in the film. I thought the last half where everyone was in love with the tentacle creature was kind of stupid, though.

With Futurama un-cancelled (thanks to the horde of die-hard fans), it seems the show's main focus (for these movies and the next season) was to cram as much of a wacky story in as possible. This just kills the pacing of this movie (and subsequent episodes), with the last third feeling especially rushed. Still, it's really funny and has lots of great comedy/sci-fi animated scenes.

I really liked the first hour or so of the movie, and the tentacle monster taking over the entire world/universe made for a great bad guy. However, once Yivo revealed shkerself as basically a joke, the rest of the movie was less compelling. Lots of great Zoidberg jokes, though.

Would have been an OK episode, but the increased runtime of a film stretches it out a bit too far - especially when the joke quota isn't upped accordingly. Probably the weakest of the 4 movies.

Futurama does Arthur C Clarke's 'Childhood's End': and that ode to classic science fiction wrapped in reverted-manchild-sex-jokes is what makes Futurama good. A bit overwrought but worthwhile.

The problems with the feature-length storylines becomes obvious in this 2nd instalment, that opts for a misguided sentimental tone circling around relationship-topics. That said: Bender, Hedonism Bot and Zoidberg makes up for a lot...

The weakest of the Futurama movies. Like the rest, it suffers from being too long for its own good. What takes place over two hours could easily have been condensed into an excellent half hour television episode.

Seems really disjointed and unmemorable. Not outright bad, but probably could have been a more worthwhile outing with all the fat trimmed and re-written as a 22 minute episode.

Not all that shines is Bender's metal ass. It's kind of embarassing that this still has Matt Groening's name on it. It's mostly just extremely contrived and incoherent, trying to pass for funny. At its prime, somewhere around the middle of the film, it has a rate of about one funny joke per five minutes on average, and in between it's just trying.

"Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs" one of the better Futurama flicks. Beginning right after the events in "Bender's Big Score", this film follows the Planet Express crew as they try to fix a rift created by, essentially, Bender's greed. Zapp Brannigan has to be one of my favorite characters ever and his role in this film doesn't disappoint. The title gives away the twist, if you know your Othello (or Wikipedia), but the revelation is still hilarious. Great use of the characters.

While the second of the Futurama movie releases does have its moments, coupled with a few decent satirical references to religion, generally it comes as a let-down and ranks among the worst that the series has produced. While jokes are present they are spread around sparsely, in heavy contrast to previous installments, and while there are some good plotline ideas the script seems a little rushed. I really hope this stagnation is a blip, I'd hate to see so much future potential go to waste.

As a normally avid Futurama fan, I was looking forward to the second feature-length release, but I was bitterly disappointed. I found the story to be ludicrously boring and pointless (which is a shame, because that was often the strong point of many of the TV episodes), but more to the point: it wasn't funny. I may have laughed out loud once in this film and I can't even remember what the joke was. Steer clear to avoid disappointment.

Don't get me wrong. I liked most of the movie. But Futurama is not really my cup of tea. Neither other Groening products. They are funny to see, but I get bored with they simple humour easily; jokes for everyone. I liked here a lot the religious twist and hmmm... tentacle thing. Pretty bold text for kid animation.

Meh, this was something of a letdown. The gags are good, except for a few scattered instances where the timing was a bit off, and a couple more that were too predictable. But the main storyline was kinda ho-hum. I hope the remaining two films show some better writing and better ideas.
