Funhouse

Another case of wasted potential is Funhouse- the premise here is great, but it's also one that requires perfect execution to pull off and that just isn't what happens here. The script is too hole-filled, the pacing too drawn-out, and the villain way too cookie-cutter bad guy to be worth caring about. The Pete Sake cutaways were a dumb gimmick that could've been axed. The final pair of twists were bleh, as was the ending. A few decent kills, but overall too messy to be what it could've been.

Funhouse is another one of these low end VOD horror messes. Interestingly enough, I do enjoy some of the characters here, as there appears to be a effort to make them a hair more likable than your typical horror affairs. Unfortunately, the kills are relatively bland, and it’s villain is painfully cliche that it makes him unlikable on a whole different level. The ending is also lackluster and unfulfilling to the point it’s just annoying with how clever it thinks it is. Gross.
