Paramount tries their own Grand Hotel (1932) on a much smaller scale taking it to the race tracks. I saw the edited 51-min version, so way to short for so many characters to really establish themselves strong enough to get emotionally attached to any of them. Not that there was much tension building anyway. Felt like a okay "TV-episode" of Murder She Wrote.
