This murder mystery had it's moments assisted by the methodical solving of the crime story by story, suspect by suspect, and forensic evidence as they come by it using modern police techniques to make theories. However George Brent as the leading investigator was sleeping his way through this role. It was so obvious his heart wasn't in it that it ruined the experience. Thankfully his assistant Eugene Pallette was on top of his game and covered up for some of it.
