Friedkin was king

Perhaps more fawning than necessary, the first 20 minutes plods and the editing is bad at times, but it picks up when highlighting Friedkin's commercial failures such as The Sorcerer. He is a one-of-a-kind character; a ballsy blowhard that says equally dumb and intelligent things and a raconteur with a real zest for life that belies the bleak cynicism of his work. No mention of Jade or The Guardian though, unfortunately.
