Brie's 100000/10 sexiness can't save this tripe action movie. I like Cena, I even like the premise of this, but when I saw the trailer I thought, "This won't be a great movie but it'll be entertaining." It's not even that entertaining. The gunplay is awful, generic and unbelievable. Cena has made a career out of fake fighting (I love wrestling, btw) and yet his hand-to-hand here was dumb as shit. Looks bland and the comedy mostly didn't work.

Went to see this because of the 0% Rottent Tomatoes score, John Cena and Allison Brie. I can see why critics did their best to destroy this movie as it conveys a lot of truths of America's interference in foreign affairs. It's worth seeing for this alone. Fun, octane, ridiculous, charming. See this if you enjoy classic action movies.

Juan Pablo Raba is entertaining, but everything else about the movie falls very flat.

For an action flick, the actual action scenes in Freelance are pretty poor. The comedy is also almost non-existent. Raba delivers the only performance that doesn't feel phoned in. The plot isn't well written, which is a shame because the premise of a benevolent dictator, maligned by corporate greed isn't a bad one. Quickly forgettable and rightly so.

This meant-to-be-forgettable action comedy relies heavily on the universal appeal of the ever-charming Cena, which makes it all the more enjoyable. I had a fun time watching this one.

Unoriginal and very cheaply made given a couple of notable people in the cast. The action is extremely bad in this low effort movie. A few laughs and a decently fun villain type character are two redeeming qualities but not enough to make this really worth a watch.

This film starts off well and has some good scenes. Unfortunately the script gets repetitive during the final third of the film. With a better script in this movie would have been good. Overall this film is disappointing.

I don't expect much from action comedies but this is an insultingly stupid movie on every level. To illustrate how bad it was, I think this is the first time I've seen a closeup of a stunt double. Whoever made this movie simply gave up halfway through it and I think it was the right call, because there was no saving this.

This movie actually made me angry, so I guess it was provocative in that way? Alison Bree should feel bad for accepting this role. The only good thing about the whole movie was when there was good continuity with the crashed helicopter.

Cena and Brie play off each other nicely during the big moments but both the action and story are things we have seen before. It is very clunky in delivery and some of the sequences look cheap at times. Cena is charasmatic and can hold a movie. I truly like him he just needs more depth in the role he is taking on.

Non credible revolution in a zero stakes action movie with low quality plot twists in which the poor script and directing can't even be saved by acting. The main "villain" really irked me, are we meant to side with a less imperialist coup against a more imperialist coup and just accept the evil dictator was actually a chill democracy dude all along keeping a facade to protect his people? Asking too much of me there.

What the hell in tiny revolutions was this, John Cena?!

I quite enjoyed the movie despite the overall silliness of much of it. I especially hated the gun battles ,since they were so incredibly pathetic, and convincing only to a 10 year old. The humor was enough to keep it interesting, and I have a fondness for both of the lead actors. It's worth watching, but many purists will hate it.

While nothing "special" from the director or script, the central actors deliver very well in their roles and make for a solid movie.
