Frederick Douglass: In Five Speeches

A noble (and interesting) effort to shine a spotlight on Douglass and his legacy, but crafted and constructed in such a choppy and confusing manner, throwing talking head segments in between some admittedly powerful and bracing readings of Douglass’ speeches, that the overall effect is muted. This probably needed to be extended and fleshed out a little for this construction to work, as at its current length it never finds its proper rhythm.
