A bit all over the place: can't quite decide if it wants to be a crime movie, a prison film, a conspiracy thriller, or a straightforward revenge story. Stylistically it doesn't do a lot and often has the look and feel of an unusually violent TV movie. Viewed May 10, 2021. Karlson seems less interested in specifics than he is in capturing Baker's blind rage and the pure force of a man driven by his survival instincts. This has some of the roughest, most brutal fights I've ever seen in a movie - Baker gouges people's eyes, grabs them by their nostrils and smashes their heads into the ground, causing plenty of blood to spill out of their faces - in a ruthlessly physical manifestation of his anger, fear, and determination.
