Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion

Is clearly inspired by Hitchcock, is well made and is quite entertaining despite the finale going on a bit too long.

Visually entertaining, and I felt I'd enjoy this more upon re-watch unlike many of these films.

Pensa numa versão hardcore de Gaslight, isso imediatamente torna esse filme bem peculiar em termos de giallo, mas uma vez que você atravessa toda a violência contra mulher, você pelo menos fica com uma cena final redentora de puro girl power. 2nd watch and I now rank it as one of my favorite mystery gialli. There are some very effective scenes and it keeps you guessing. Many say Navarro steals the show, but I thought the main role required someone more reserved like Lassander. Morricone's music is one of his best for gialli and while Ercoli is not known for his visuals, I thought this was quite beautifully shot. The theme could have used a bit riskier approach than what could be done in 1970; two years would have made a difference.

Nutty psychological thriller with plenty of twists and turns. Not as much blood or nudity as some other giallo flicks, but it has a similar visual style - full of lurid colours, sharply edited jump-cuts and dramatic zooms to close-ups on the actors faces. You know Dramatic Chipmunk on Youtube? I think this film was it's inspiration. Plus it has an awesome soundtrack by none other than Ennio Morricone!
