I really thought this was a fun and cute film. I've always been a fan of Ari Graynor and I thought she did a wonderful job in this. Especially her phone conversations were... very well done. Lauren Miller was a new actress to me but I also really liked her. Justin Long had a smaller role and wasn't as funny as I'm used to him being but the part with him and the dog Zelda really made up for his lack of funniness. For A Good Time, watch this movie because it's an excellent movie about friendship.

Female-led, R-Rated comedies seem to be coming out of the woodwork since the success of 'Bridesmaids' and so far, 'For a Good Time, Call...' is one of the best. To sub-categorize this movie in that way, however, would be ignoring what a good film it is in general. It's easily one of the top two funniest movies I've seen in 2012. The topics get raunchy, as you would suspect, but it never goes so far as to be over-the-top. Every word fits the moment. It helps that it's hilarious at the same time.

It was fun. I've enjoyed it with my wife a lot, but we didn't like the end so much. It was quite lame. With a better end, I'd rate this +10 I guess.

Has some really great laugh out loud moments and definitely makes the most of its premise. Both Miller and Graynor give fine performances and have a real chemistry with each other.

Certainly stupid, but undeniably funny. I'm a sucker for potty-mouth girls, clealy. The Seth Rogen and Kevin Smith cameos were great.

Fun and new twist on romantic comedies--making this female friendship the relationship in question. Graynor steals each scene she is in but Miller more than holds her own.

A fun, SUPERBAD-y raunchfest that turns disarmingly sweet and pretty adorable by the end. Both of the leads are appealing, particularly Graynor, who delivers a standout comic performance. It doesn't go anywhere surprising, and it's definitely not something you want to spend too much time thinking about, but it's an enjoyable ride with a distinctly urban zing and energy. Plus it's got two hot girls talking dirty.

FOR A GOOD TIME, CALL... could have fallen into cutesiness, but its frankness in dealing with the mechanics of phone sex, the honesty of the central friendship between Lauren (Lauren Miller) and Katie (Ari Graynor), and its own decided funniness, pull it through. Miller is vibrant, but Graynor is especially impressive, skillfully revealing the frustrations beneath a brash exterior. A bright script is hampered only by a predictable story; the supporting cast includes some hilarious cameos.

Cute and silly (and with a pretty good soundtrack to boot), but ultimately too conventional to properly showcase Travis' particular talents, which is a shame. He balances the raunchiness, camp, and sappiness of the material well enough but i hope he gets another chance to direct something of his own one of these days, hopefully sooner rather than later. Seriously everyone should watch his shorts.

Embarrassingly tries to masquerade as a comedy with taste, pacing, and engaging characters, For a Good Time, Call... was made in that cinematic copy-and-paste machine a lot of people seem to use. Nevertheless, I am glad this movie exists: Kevin Smith hasn't made me laugh that loud in years.

It's the movie's affectionate portrait of female friendship, along with Miller and Graynor's loose, playful performances, that make this whole imperfect soufflé rise as high as it does.

The reason the two girls were fighting was kinda dumb but the movie was watchable and Seth Rogan is a funny dude.

What do you call a bromance, only with women? A bramance? The titillating concept is badly undersold by the two leads, who come off as boring and really unengaging. The parts of the film that do work are mostly thanks to a solid (if manic) supporting performance from Justin Long. Highlight of the film is a one-minute cameo by Seth Rogen, a comic actor with actual presence.

Womance to a romcom beat-sheet. Very few laughs and a dose of that irksome virginity fetishism. It's short though.[df]

Easily one of the best comedies of the year. Funny, cute, interesting, and real. I greatly enjoyed it.

Unwatchable filth. You'll watch men jack off for an hour and a half while terrible actresses coax them on.

The film's biggest strength is the chemistry between the leads, Graynor and Miller. The pair make the simple plot, at least fun and entertaining to watch. It's cute, it's silly, and it has Seth Rogen's sole funny performance (though the brevity might have helped). The ending is a little disappointing in terms of execution, leaving the lingering of mediocrity, but the film does have plenty of funny moments beforehand.
