For Richer or Poorer

For some reason, I recently thought about this movie for the first time since I had seen. That's funny, because this movie was so easy to forget. It's not even a bad mark on Allen's or Alley's career, because people won't realize it existed. Crap!

One of the all time movies

"You've got to try my new pills. It makes everything you eat taste like shit". Critical of yuppies, but very quaint and respectful view of amish/country living. No new ground, but not overly juvenile or suffocated with music. A gentle good time on a gorgeous piece of land.

I like the Allen and Alley combo, so take that haters.

This movie is completely stupid, mildly offensive and yet I don't find this to be complete trash.

I kind of enjoyed it. It's as by the numbers as you can get with a fish out of water story, but sometimes I like to be able to watch a movie that's entertaining enough and doesn't challenge me one bit.

Wretched.

I've seen worse... but that doesn't make it a lot better. It's weird how I watch it anyway when it's on TV and I can't find the remote

Another movie I love that most hate. It's my kind of humor, except for the Faux pas they make trying to fit in with the Amish, which embarrass me. Both Tim Allen and Kirsti Alley are two my favorite actors, Kirsti being very attractive because she's not anorexic like so many. I enjoy the basic story of these two ready to get a divorce, but slowly learning to love each other again as well as discovering a better way of living. And, the happy ending is just my cup of coco.

The beginning of the end to two otherwise potentially decent actors.

As poor in taste as Allen's Biblical theme park in the film. It's like it represents the movie within the movie!

I didn't feel that Allen and Alley's characters were different enough when compared to the amish. They were different, just not different enough to create a large conflict. This made the movie a little weak and forgettable. It was filmed a couple miles from my house though which was cool.

bad movie

A delightfull enough discarding of consumerism to prop up the institution of marriage. A couple good laughs, with Tim & Kirstie doing a fine job. Moves really well.

This really should've been a clue that Tim Allen sucks at everything besides being Buzz Lightyear or The Toolman. Surprises like Galaxy Quest are probably far and few between.
