A show troupe, led by Dan Dixon and traveling in a trailer, is stranded in Paraguay. Dan is all set to be booked in the theatres controlled by Don Luis Garcia until the latter discovers Dan is the man who caused him much trouble in a muddy incident on the highway. This might be the best comedy Joe E. Brown made for independent producer David L. Loew! And how can it not be when it's got Joe E. going around Paraguay trying to kill himself?! A fine supporting cast too like Leo Carrillo, Charles Judels and Steffi Duna among others. Flirting with Fate was a solid team effort with Brown up front being in good form. Especially when drunk! Might not be a major comedy, but Brown wasn't being as over the top as he can me which made it a pleasant one.
