beautiful and relaxing. it's hard to tell with this sort of thing how much enjoyment is derived from the work itself on one hand and admiration for its creator on the other; the question is how highly i'd rate it free from any external context, and if i *could* view without any expectations whether that'd be desirable anyway. but anyway, it's clearly a technical marvel. also interesting how kiarostami chose this in particular to dedicate to ozu given the complete lack of dialogue.

PV. This was inspiring - next time I'll take a shit I'll record it for 2 hours and call it "One dedicated to Kiarostami".

This is not a proper feature film; it's an essay, an experiment, a whatever-you-may-call-it. Except for the ducks scene, this is totally boring to me...

Many will reject this experiment out of hand, but for myself, viewing it in the cinema, it seemed to draw me in more and more. Admittedly, I was a little disappointed to learn, later on, that the sound in the last sequence was edited together.
