Could easily have been a funny princess/reporter romance comedy, but the production polish just isn't there.... which leaves the experience rather flat even if there are laughs in there with Joe E. Brown doing his thing. Brown is funny doing his thing, but this comedy desperately needs a quality gag man, something Brown would have had had he not left Warner Bros to sign for independent producer David L. Loew....
