Fingers at the Window

Nice B movie crime thriller, with a touch of comedy. The leading man, Lew Ayres has become one of my favorites.

A cool chilling murder story where Lew Ayres plays a slightly eccentric actor trying to save a girl from several insane axe murderers. I liked his performance, even if the they couldn't keep the same focus as it did at the start. You can't go wrong with Basil Rathbone as a maniac. Not his most inspired role, but he's slick as evil can be. Laraine Day probable played her part too straight without adding anything else to that sweet girl in danger routine, and that's where the suspense slipped.
