Finding 'Ohana

This film borrows from and is clearly inspired by The Goonies and Indiana Jones. There are some amusing moments and scenes. Not everything works in the script but some things go over well. Overall I would recommend this movie.

Nice family movie for all ages, perhaps bit scary under 8. Loved the retro scenery, "plastic" looking rocks, etc.

The only thing that surprises me about Finding 'Ohana is that it has very well shot scenes. Other than that, it doesn't promise much.

"Home is where 'Ohana is." It's summer in rural Oahu, an island in Hawaii. This summer takes an exciting turn for siblings Alex and Kea when they get their hands on a diary that points to a bygone treasure. Together with new friends they decide to embark on a great adventure.

A little family time with Finding 'Ohana (2021). Kinda gave me Goonies vibes with a Hawaiian twist. Not as good, though, but it was a good attempt at a youthful adventure looking for treasure.

W3E1P0S1V1M2A0R2. Decent fun, and great to watch with my daughters, but pretty unabashedly derivative of the Goonies, while somehow less believable, and with way less heart. Surprisingly good singing, though.

It's Goonies, with a smaller cast. Perfect family movie if you have a tween at home.
