Fenster zum Sommer

Seemed like a misfire to me. A film so vague and ethereal in constructing whatever point it is trying to get at, that it feels like the film-makers as well as the audience are grasping at threads in the wind. The pictures are nicely shot, and I'm a fan of Nina Hoss, but have no idea what possessed her to sign on to this script. It was too structureless and devoid of narrative pointers, visual or verbal. Dreamlike and ambitious... metaphysical... philosophical... forgettable.
