Starts out so incredibly playful! Social satire and anti-capitalistic messages flowing past rhythmically in every creative way! No wonder this Chinese film was featured in Mark Cousins' The Story of Film: An Odyssey (2011). It does slow down after a while with the dramatics taking over the comic tone, and it loses steam because of it, but you can't deny the brilliance that is present half the time.
