If it was music it would be a jazz jam of two great cats. The songs may be off tune, but the actressship (sorry for a made up word) is top notch. If it's your thing, you will be in heaven. If you only like Mozart (I'm still speaking in metaphors), you'll be annoyed.

I'm really surprised this wasn't already on Criticker, it seems like something a lot of people would really like. It falls somewhere between Moullet, Fassbinder, and Mark Rappaport but is definitely it's own thing at the same time (though i have to say, Vecchiali seems very much like a sort of Rapport figure of French cinema). I wasn't completely enthralled by it myself, but it has some really amazing moments and i totally admire where it's coming from.
