The story's hook is marvelous, and the acting is definitely serviceable. And yet... this tale of possible manifestation or misdirection lacks the visual inspiration to maintain the level of tension it's seeking. Crucially, the reveal at the end of the film hits different than the filmmakers probably intend - we've established the lead knows how to use Google in her stalking, and the reveal is definitely Googleable. For me, it's a lapse that may have undercut the whole film.

When you love a woman, you buy her a sound system so big they've got to deliver it through the window. Last shot is brilliant, second half not so much as the first, a neo-noirish, strange stalking romance.

can you get more boringly formulaic than this? there are nice ideas stretched out so thin, it feels like an insult to watch this.

Haunting, fascinating study of Stork's enigmatic heroine; keeps the viewer consistently (and delightfully) off-balance for most of the run time giving us perhaps the ultimate unreliable narrator, presenting delusion (or possible delusion) in ambiguous, but always apparently rational terms. A quite brilliant and unique reality bender, made more riveting by Stork's intriguingly inscrutable performance, which helps sell the mystery.
