Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] II. lost butterfly

While it's theoretically nice to delve deeper into unknown territory and finally get to some of the revelations that I knew since Fate/Zero, the story introduces a number of questionable elements and is told in an increasingly hard-to follow and unstructured manner.

While I'm not her biggest fan I can appreciate the Sakura plotline enough to like this movie. However, I think the movie is a lot weaker than its predecessor. Maybe it's because Lost Butterfly steps away from familiar grounds without delivering a satisfying exposition but I just wasn't too invested in the plot.

Beautiful animation and contains multiple of the best fight scenes of the year (not just among animated movies). Movie does a decent job with its plot considering the source material is dense and impenetrable at points. But its love subplot is filled with awful and just plain awkward dialog. Double so for the sex scene. Never felt a movie theater cringe before but this movie did it.
