Farväl Falkenberg

Captures that 'lazy, aimless summer' feeling perfectly. I had a very emotional reaction to this, if you're not sure about where to go with your life the themes will feel very familiar. There isn't a whole lot of story, but that is never a problem since it is more about trying to capture feelings of longing and knowing things will never be the same again. A beautiful minimalistic (and suitably depressing) soundtrack makes the experience complete.

This was such a strange experience. As if this film was a person that somehow knew everything about me around that time I was watching it. We've been friends ever since.

Pretty good lo-fi indie movie that reminded me of a bunch of earlier good movies that I won't name, but none of which were indie. It can get a bit too mellow at times, and I have mixed feelings about the soundtrack, but ultimately this shows that a first-timer can make something genuinely touching on a tight budget.

Spoiler Alert! Such an interest take on suicide. I've always seen suicide as something that can be prevented, and a rather selfish act, but from an existential perspective one cannot think like that. There was a certain amount of beauty about it, but more so knowing your place in the world and wanting to forever remain there.

Just beautiful. Deppressing, but beautiful, about trying to find your way in life.

Very little story but still very touching with charecters that feel true and human. The handfilmed but artistic photo with the special sountrack gives a unique beauty. Intimate and clever script often goes from ordinary dialog to filosofical nostalgia.

A lot of romanticized stereotypes.

Although the film is rather short and simple, it does succeed in making an emotional connection and achieves an affecting portrayal of frustrated youth, friendship and grief. The film is not much to look at, and frequently seems to be going nowhere, but it's precisely the documentary-style naturalism that brings us so close to the characters and shows us the silly meaningless bonding moments which forge friendships that can last a lifetime. A fine blend of realism and storytelling.

This embodies everything great about independent filmmaking. The director, cinematographer, screenwriter and editor - 2 persons(the director even has significant part in the film)

Very original. Alienating but personal. Ganslandt is by far the more interesting director in Sweden today. I suspect I will like this even more after a second viewing.

great and very natural cinematography and sountrack but partially distracting. first it introduces us to so many characters but then suddenly focus on the two of them. although i've got into it, i've felt disconnected at certain parts.

honestly, i expected too much from this movie. i was shocked when i realized that it was just plain boring and i didnt wanna watch it anymore. then i skipped forward and it got a little better, but still left a disappointing taste in my mouth.
