Fargo (1952) was easily Bill Elliott's worst Monogram picture to that point. There at least felt like there was some ambition with the others, but here they go right to the tired old poverty row western format that had already been dying out. A tiny bit larger scale, but a lot of bland action and very few characters to get behind beyond our hero. And you could sense not even Wild Bill was feeling this one. But it had one really cool moment, when they had that body all wrapped in steel wire!
